MouseDeck
PRIVACY POLICY

Your work stays on your Mac.

Effective September 7, 2026

Overview

MouseDeck does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. The app has no account system, advertising, analytics, or cloud service.

Information stored on your device

Your panel layouts, button names, shortcut mappings, selected apps or windows, and preferences are stored locally on your Mac. This information remains on your device and is not sent to us.

Accessibility permission

MouseDeck requests macOS Accessibility permission so it can perform the actions you choose: simulate keyboard input, record shortcut keys, activate a selected app or window, and focus a visible text input when possible. This processing happens locally. You can revoke permission at any time in System Settings.

Voice input and screenshots

MouseDeck does not record audio and does not access your microphone. Its Voice button triggers the dictation or voice-input shortcut configured by you. Its Screenshot button triggers your chosen screenshot shortcut; MouseDeck does not read or upload the resulting image.

Retention and deletion

Local preferences remain until you reset them or remove the app’s data from your Mac. Because MouseDeck does not receive your information, we do not hold a server-side copy.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when MouseDeck’s features change. Questions can be sent to bob.xiamr@gmail.com.
